Study
An exciting and interdisciplinary postgraduate research plan, where doctoral researchers gain vital skills in nuclear fission science and engineering.
Recruitment
The final cohort for this programme has been recruited, explore our new SATURN CDT for exciting opportunities.
GREEN has significant industrial engagement and support from companies across the nuclear sector, ensuring that the CDT is at the forefront of doctoral study and encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Two-thirds of graduates from this consortium's previous nuclear CDTs have gone on to work in the nuclear sector, and 90% have taken up technical roles.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on real-life challenges at an industry scale, carrying out some or all of your research project in an industrial setting in the UK or overseas.
At the end of the four years, you’ll graduate as a highly employable nuclear scientist or engineer.
The final cohort for this programme has been recruited. This GREEN programme is no longer receiving applications.
Being part of a CDT means that you never really feel alone. You’re learning alongside fellow students who you can share the experience and have fun with. All you really need is a passion for science, technology, engineering or just learning!
